America’s first 2025 BMW M5 heading to a charity auction

The first example of the next-gen BMW M5 made for the U.S. market will be auctioned off at the Pebble Beach event on August 16. Dubbed the M5 Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance #1/1, it is a unique car featuring an exterior and a cabin co-designed between the company’s M and Individual departments.

A Frozen Orange exterior goes along with staggered 20- and 21-inch wheels with matching orange accents, which the company says had to be applied by hand. A peek through the spokes reveals carbon-ceramic brakes with matte-gold calipers.

Inside, the seats are clad in two-tone leather and have the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance logo on the headrests. The same lettering can be found on the kick plates and the carbon-trimmed dashboard, along with the badge saying “#1/1”.

As any self-respecting charity auction car, the new M5 comes loaded with options worth over $57,000. These include carbon-fiber top, rear spoiler and side mirror covers, a backlit grille, ventilated seats, two extra drive modes for the racetrack, and a host of electronic assists. As a bonus, BMW M lifts the top speed from 250 to 305 km/h (from 155 to 189.5 miles per hour). The winning bidder will be eligible for a single-day advanced driving course at the BMW Performance Center.

Pricing for the new M5 in the USA starts from $119,500. All money above the MSRP will be donated to charities, the company says. The buyer will have to wait for their car until late October, with the normal M5 shipments scheduled for November.
