Aston Martin produces a BD 12 S trinity as an homage to Pebble Beach

Among other things, the annual Monterey Car Week event in California is famous for its Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance. It’s celebrating its 75th anniversary this year, so Aston Martin decided to attend it with not one, not two, but three uniquely styled BD 12 S grand tourers.

The cars simultaneously serve as a tribute to the 75 years of the Pebble Beach show and the British automaker’s own racing past. Specifically, they all draw inspiration from VMF-series race cars that hit the 24 Hours of Le Mans track back in the year 1950. Design similarities include colorful radiator grilles composed of horizontal bars, matching front fender inserts, and rear spoilers bearing the outlines of the original Aston Martin DB2 from the fifties. You can check it out at the end of the gallery above.

Inside, every car boasts “75” badges alongside contrast stitching and some color-coordinated accents all around. Power continues to be sourced from a 4.0-liter Mercedes-AMG V8 twin-turbo’d to deliver 700 PS (690 hp / 515 kW) to the wheels via an eight-speed transmission.

It’s official that all three vehicles will remain one-offs. What we don’t know is whether Aston Martin plans to sell them later on, or put in a museum, or something else.
