The 2027 Chevrolet Trax will feature a streamlined lineup, reducing the available trims from five to three. The LT trim will replace the LS as the new base model, and the RS1 and RS2 trims will be combined into a single RS trim. The Activ trim will remain, completing the three-trim offering.
Updates for the 2027 model year include enhancements to the vehicle's electrical and software architecture. This allows for the addition of more standard safety features, such as reverse automatic braking and front park assist. Technology improvements also include the integration of the Gemini AI assistant with the native Google software.
Cosmetic changes for the 2027 Trax involve an updated grille, new wheel designs, and LED taillamps. The liftgate design has also been revised, with a power open/close option now available. Inside, a new Storm Sky Gray interior color will be offered. The Trax continues to be powered by a 137-hp turbocharged 1.2-liter three-cylinder engine paired with a six-speed automatic transmission and front-wheel drive; all-wheel drive is not available.
