Karma Automotive Launches Eximius Customization Program, Reveals First Model

Karma Automotive has launched a new one-off vehicle program called Eximius, with the Eximius 1 plug-in hybrid as its first product. The Eximius 1 was revealed at the Concours at Wynn in Las Vegas.

The Eximius 1 is based on the Revero platform but replaces its three-cylinder engine with a 6.2-liter V-8. The plug-in series hybrid powertrain delivers 1195 horsepower. Karma states the Eximius 1 can accelerate to 60 mph in 2.7 seconds and reach a top speed of 200 mph. For enhanced performance, it features carbon-ceramic brake rotors and Öhlins semi-active dampers.

The vehicle is nearly two inches wider than a standard Revero and incorporates extensive carbon-fiber elements, including exposed sections on the front fenders with a fading blue paint finish. It rides on 21-inch magnesium center-lock wheels. The design includes a carbon front splitter, large air intakes, fender vents, and a significant rear diffuser with a towering wing.

Inside, the Eximius 1 features blue-tinted carbon-fiber on various surfaces, Recaro bucket seats upholstered in blue Alcantara and leather, and billet machined aluminum pedals. The Eximius program will allow customers to request modifications to the body, powertrain, and other performance components. Karma plans to produce a maximum of nine bespoke vehicles based on each series production model. The Eximius 1 is scheduled for delivery in 2027.
