Report: Foxconn partnering up with Mitsubishi

Not long ago, Taiwanese semiconductor company Foxconn announced impending EV manufacturing agreements with two Japanese automakers.

The statement came from Mr. Young Liu, CEO of the company. Back then, the media had assumed that the automakers in question were Honda and Nissan.

However, according to the latest report from Nikkei Asia, it’s actually Mitsubishi that’s going to join the list of Foxconn’s partner companies next. Mitsubishi is partially owned by Nissan, so it’s not that surprising.

We are told that the negotiations between the two companies have been going on for over six months, and are finally nearing what looks like a mutually beneficial conclusion.
