Lynk & Co Z20 comes to Europe renamed as “02”

Geely-owned car brand Lynk & Co has unveiled its first EV for the European market, the 02. It has nothing to do with its Chinese namesake and is instead a localized version of the Z20 model for China.

On its domestic market, the Lynk & Co Z20 is largely identical to the Zeekr X and has yet to go on sale. We don’t even know how much it will cost there. Its European cousin – the 02 – officially starts from €35,495.

Information is scarce right now. The company mentions the range (up to 445 km, or 276 miles) and points out the use of recycled materials in the cabin. The dashboard is digital, a large infotainment display is included in the base spec, and that’s about all we know right now.

Car spotters photographed an early version of the car back in February. Lynk & Co said it outsourced the design of the 02 to its design HQ in Gothenburg, Sweden. It also emphasized that it had collected feedback from the owners of its 01 model – the only Lynk & Co car that’s already on sale in most EU countries – and made improvements based on that feedback.
