Toyota considers its Land Cruiser Rox Concept for production

The Toyota Land Cruiser Rox seen in the 3D renderings and photos here was originally envisioned as a SEMA show car without market prospects, but the company has now revealed that a production version is in the works.

The latest batch of images shows the LC Rox with an open cabin, rugged bumpers at both ends, skid plates, a winch and off-road tires. The lower door panels have drainage openings in them.

According to Toyota, the SUV consists of roughly 50% original parts, but it will nonetheless go into production if enough customers want it. Knowing the brand, the design will most likely be considerably simplified on its way there, and end up as a Double Cab.
