Porsche is developing a mid-engined supercar platform for a model positioned above the 911. The company is reportedly working on a successor to the 918 Spyder. A concept car, Mission S, is scheduled for an October 15 debut, which is expected to offer initial insights into the future supercar's design.
Porsche has confirmed that there will be no internal combustion engine (ICE) variants for the 718 lineup. The company will proceed with all-electric 718 models, with their first full year of production anticipated in 2028. Previously, there were reports of a potential return for ICE 718 derivatives, but this strategy appears to have been discontinued.
The 911 range is expected to expand with more derivatives. Porsche aims to increase the average selling price of its top-tier models by approximately 20 percent in the medium term. The company is also increasing its stake in Manthey to 67 percent, which could lead to more performance kits, track experiences, and specialized vehicle projects, likely focusing on the 911.
Porsche plans to introduce a smaller gas-powered SUV in 2028, to be sold alongside the electric Macan. Additionally, the company is exploring the possibility of an SUV positioned above the Cayenne, which could offer a three-row option. These new vehicles may utilize platforms developed in collaboration with Audi, such as PPE and PPC.
