Check out a Porsche 911-inspired motorboat

Someone in Florida has handed over $40,002 for a motorboat made in 1995 and later stylized to look like a Porsche 911.

Starting with the front end, the headlights and the general styling come closest to the 993-generation 911. The seller claims that two such vessels were built and delivered under the name “Craig Craft 168 Boss”, but further details are lacking.

The boat features a glass-fiber plastic body and a 4.3-liter General Motors V6 under the hood. Just how much it outputs is unknown. The passenger area seats four people and is fashionably trimmed in white and blue leather. Further aftermarket modifications included a custom windshield, a body-matching tarp top and an audio system. The winning bidder also received a single-axle trailer for transporting the boat.
