17-year-old Porsche Carrera GT set to sell for $1M+

This Porsche Carrera GT rolled off the assembly line in 2004 and has less than 2,672 miles (4,300 km) on the odometer, so no wonder someone wants to grab it for U.S. $1,028,000 despite the auction ending on September 14.

The original owner of the super sports car bought in for around $450,000. It went on to change hands until being purchased by its current owner in 2020. It boasts a GT Silver Metallic body and a cabin trimmed with black and brown leather. There are numerous carbon fiber and magnesium alloy inserts throughout the interior, while the gear stick knob is made of beech.

Back in 2020, the car underwent a complete maintenance round that cost $50,000, ending up with new fuel tank and battery. Tired were replaced with Michelin Pilot Super Sport 265/35 (front) and 335/30 (rear). Six years ago, the supercar received a new clutch. It has been driven for mere 100 miles (160 km) since.

Porsche stopped producing the Carrera GT fifteen years ago after only 1,270 units made (watch the video for another example). Each came powered by a 5.7-liter ten-cylinder engine mated to a six-speed manual transmission for 612 PS (603 hp / 450 kW). It needed 3.9 seconds to get from zero to 100 km/h (62 mph) and had a top speed of 330 km/h (205 mph).
