Smart #1 patented in China alongside Brabus Edition

The facelifted Smart #1 should go on sale in China soon enough, but there is still no launch date.

The car boasts new wheels and added red accents on both bumpers and side sills (Brabus trim only). The biggest change occurs in the powertrain department, where a new 340-PS (335-hp / 250-kW) rear motor whirs away instead of the old 272-PS (268-hp / 200-kW) one. This concerns both the RWD standard car and the AWD Brabus spec, which now commands a combined 496 PS (489 hp / 365 kW) from two motors.
