2025 Tesla Model Y production starts

Gigafactory Shanghai has begun mass-producing the new Tesla Model Y.

The first batches will ship exclusively with the Launch Edition trim inside. It will remain available for ordering until the end of December. Customers in China can choose between RWD and AWD versions priced from 263,500 Yuan.

The new Model Y is also available for ordering in the United States now, where it starts from $45,000. However, the Launch Edition set to ship in March costs $60,000 before options; if you would like a lower trim instead, you will have to wait another several months.
