Toyota C-HR+ EV bows in Europe

The new Toyota C-HR+ is a fully electric crossover for Europe set to go on sale in select countries in late 2025 followed by the rest of them next year.

Like the Toyota bZ4X before it, the newcomer rides on the e-TNGA platform. Its body is 4,520 mm (176.6 inches) long, while the wheelbase spans 2,750 mm (107.4 inches).

Those interested in the most affordable version will be getting a single front-axle motor with 167 PS (165 hp / 123 kW) and 57.7 kilowatt-hours of battery capacity. It will be enough to sprint 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in 8.6 seconds and cover 455 km (282 miles) per charge under optimal conditions, Toyota claims.

Upgrading to the next FWD spec up the line nets you a sportier 224 PS (221 hp / 165 kW) and a bigger 77-kWh battery pack. This version reaches 100 km/h in 7.4 seconds and can do 600 km (373 miles) per charge, manufacturer-rated.

Finally, there is a flagship spec with two e-motors pushing a combined 343 PS (338 hp / 252 kW) to all four wheels. Toyota estimates the 0-100 km/h launch time at 5.2 seconds, but it’s subject to change. This version will be shipping exclusively with the bigger 77-kWh battery, but the range will max out at 525 km (326 miles) or so due to the higher energy consumption.
