Official sources are reporting that the French automaker MPM Motors will soon wrap up car production and file for bankruptcy starting in March 2021.
The statement mentions that out of the six operational years, the last two proved the hardest for the business. The departure of MPM Motors will entail shutting down of all of its projects, including a new sedan, crossover SUV and urban subcompact EV.
The company emphasizes that the clients who have bought cars will not be affected, because production of spare parts will continue.
Back in 2016, the French carmaker produced its own replica of the classical Tagaz Aquila, which it then renamed to MPM Erelis (see the photos and the video). The car came equipped with a five-speed manual transmission and a 1.2-liter turbocharged gasoline engine worth 130 PS (128 hp / 95 kW).
