Suburbia and pickups may go well together, but it does not mean you cannot drive one with style in a city – especially if you can afford to drop that ride height a fair bit.

This is what Phat Phabz, from Oklahoma, suggests we do. The guys take a GMC Denali 3500 with dually rear tires and a similar-specced Chevrolet Silverado 3500 HD and transplant both onto air-ride suspension. What is really amazing to us is how effortlessly the humongous 26-inch rims disappear inside those arches.

If you think a simple lowering kit would do the trick, think again. Bagging a truck like this necessitates extensive chassis modifications and considerable expertise – otherwise accidents can, and will, happen.

The interiors have stayed stock, and while we do not have any details concerning the powertrains, neither truck is lacking in that department.
