Car Tuning

How do like this slammed Infiniti Q50?

Nissan spawned Infiniti in 1989 to compete with the German trio of Audi, Mercedes and BMW. The premium marque never quite rose to fame, but it did treat us to a number of appealing and customizable vehicles.

The Infiniti Q50 you see here has been tuned by Ulterior Motives, an auto shop from California. It received a Pearlescent White paintjob over the factory blue, and gained width owing to new fender flares and side sills. A ventilated hood, a new bumper and an aggressive diffuser rounded off the kit.

New 19-inch SSR TF1 wheels fill out the arches, and Power Japan brake calipers boast as many as eight pistons at the front end and six pistons in the back.

What really sets this Q50 apart from the rest is its extremely low ride height. The tuner used an Air Lift Performance suspension kit and had to replace shock absorbers and struts at both ends. The result is a custom build that is mechanically sophisticated and expensive, so you have to be a big fan of Infiniti cars to go through with it.
