Mazda EZ-6 presents specs

Mazda has entered its EZ-6 rear-wheel-drive liftback into the Ministry of Industry database in China, letting us have a look at its technical specifications.

The car itself debuted at the last year’s auto show in Beijing, but without any details. As it turns out, it will ship in serial hybrid and BEV forms. The hybrid will pack a 1.5-liter naturally aspirated engine rated at 95 PS (94 hp / 70 kW), which will be disconnected from the wheels and used solely as a power generator. The main motor will drive the rear wheels with 258 PS (254 hp / 190 kW).

The all-electric version will make do with a 218-PS (215-hp / 160-kW) motor at the same axle.

There are no battery/range figures yet. What is already obvious, though, is that the Mazda EZ-6 is a rebadged Changan Shenlan SL03.
