Stellantis accuses another vendor of price hikes

In a remarkable display of blame-shifting, Stellantis North America is suing German parts supplier Brose Fahrzeugteile over an alleged breach of agreement.

The car company holds that Brose has unreasonably inflated its component prices after signing the supply agreement. The defendant replies that the whole automotive industry has been in a turbulent state lately, forcing vendors to play safe with their pricing policies.

The good news for the vendor-accusing Stellantis is that it will soon need fewer and fewer parts for cars. Recently, the company had to stop all production of the Dodge Durango and the Jeep Grand Cherokee due to low demand and overflowing inventories.
