Rumor: Nissan working on Navara Nismo

Unofficial reports are trickling in that the next-generation Nissan Navara may get a sportier Nismo version to help it compete against the Ford Ranger Raptor.

It will allegedly borrow the 3.5-liter twin-turbo V6 from the latest Nissan Patrol and ride on modernized suspension. From the technical perspective, it will reportedly utilize the same underpinnings as the sixth-gen Mitsubishi L200.

There are no indications as to when the rumored Navara Nismo may debut.
