Jaw-dropping Singer DLS restomod poised to fetch £3M

Singer Vehicle Design, a name that makes the heart of every Porsche enthusiast beat faster, is currently working on delivering the 75 examples of its particularly deluxe “DLS” vehicle series based on the Porsche 911 chassis. A particularly expensive example will cross the auction block at RM Sotheby’s on February 18.

Called Openheimer Blue after a diamond, it comes finished in a beautiful shade of metallic blue. It runs on 18-inch magnesium alloy wheels from BBS, features tinted brake lights and wears a carbon-fiber Porsche badge on the engine deck lid in the back.

More carbon fiber can be seen on both bumpers and inside the engine bay, where a 4.0-liter flat-six engine resides. It outputs 508 PS (500 hp / 373 kW) to the rear wheels through a 6MT. The odometer suggests only 120 km (75 miles) of use.

The interior is every bit as posh as you’d expect from a Singer, with a wooden knob on the gear selector, a steering wheel wrapped in blue artificial suede and cream-tinted leather on the seats. Looking at the same seats from the opposite side reveals blue carbon backs.

According to the listing, the car is expected to sell for a whole fortune (up to 3 million GBP, or 3.7 million USD).
