Mercedes-AMG GT 63 unlocks supercar potential with Renntech mods

Around half a year ago, Renntech introduced what it called the world’s most powerful Mercedes-AMG GT (see video). That one had 1,213 PS (1,196 hp / 892 kW) at the crank and was quite extreme. The company has now unveiled a less extreme version of the same car, and it still manages to be quite remarkable.

In case you needed a reminder, the stock AMG GT 63 S outputs 639 PS (630 hp / 470 kW) to the wheels along with 900 Nm (664 lb-ft) of torque. Once tuned with parts from the company’s R3 Performance package, it goes up to 875 PS (863 hp / 644 kW) and 1,181 Nm (871 lb-ft).

The tuner never mentioned any sprint times, but since the stock car goes 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in 3.2 seconds, we can imagine the tuned one having a sub-3-second sprint time.

The example in the gallery below is shown wearing the company’s optional body kit called Aero 1. It comprises a front splitter, canards, side sill extensions, a rear diffusor and a rear wing. Everything is made from carbon fiber and serves to improve the aerodynamic performance of the AMG GT, Renntech claims.
