VW Multivan now available as an eight-seater

The Volkswagen Multivan family is a large one, offering versions with five, six, seven and – most recently – eight seats.

This latest version of the minivan comes with a body stretched to 5,173 millimeters of length (202 inches). You get three seat rows with two individual seats at the front and two bench seats in the middle and the back. The eight-seater costs just €1,612 more in Europe than the base five-seat version.

For the engine, buyers can choose between a 2.0-liter TSI mill rated at 204 PS (201 hp / 150 kW) and a 2.0-liter TDI capable of 150 PS (148 hp / 118 kW). Both the petrol and the diesel engine use a preselector DSG transmission to send the torque to the front wheels – no other drive types available.
