Video: Lynk & Co 03 Cyan sports car withstands road trials

The Cyan Racing team just finished testing the prototype version of the Chinese-designed Lynk & Co 03 Cyan sedan/saloon. The car will eventually go into production.

In conceptualizing the No. 03 Cyan, the company used the technologies it first acquired when it designed and built TCR racecars.

The Lynk & Co 03 Cyan is a street-legal, all-wheel-drive sedan/saloon that comes powered by the same 2.0 V4 turbo engine as its predecessor, the “normal” Lynk & Co 03. However, in the Cyan version, the four-banger takes advantage of a massive power boost made possible thanks to a joint effort of dedicated team of experts. We’re talking the team that used to build custom engines for the V8 Supercars and WTCC racing series. The result is a dramatic increase from the original 190 hp (142 kW) to a jaw-dropping 528 hp (394 kW).

Linked to a six-speed sequential transmission, the upgraded mill accelerates the Lynk & Co 03 Cyan from standstill to 100 km/h (62 mph) in mere 4.4 seconds, and can take it as high as 310 km/h (193 mph).

The car comes equipped with a dual-circuit hydraulic brake system boasting massive calipers, a limited-slip differential and Öhlins adjustable shocks.
