Nissan improves its Navara/Frontier truck for wilderness trips

The U.S. subdivision of Nissan has prepared an upgraded version ots Navara/Frontier pickup truck for the 2019 Overland Expo West. The car gained an expedition rack, a suspension lift, and a winch.

The special series comes based on the Midnight Edition 2019 and sports Nisstec suspension that adds it 3 inches (76 mm) of ride height. It also boasts a set of American Racing AX201 wheels wrapped in Nitto Trail Grappler tires.

The wilderness-touring Nissan Navara/Frontier has a tent and an expedition rack up top, heavy-duty bumpers, auxiliary lighting, and bottom guard plates.

Powering the limited series is a potent four-liter V6 engine delivering 265 hp (198 kW) and 381 Nm (284 lb-ft) of torque to a five-speed automatic transmission. 

Two years ago, Nissan showed us the Project Basecamp, a similar truck based on the Titan chassis. The vehicle also had 3 inches (76 mm) of suspension lift, a tent, and skid plates.
