This military campervan offers more modern comforts than some hostels do

This YouTube review of a brutal-looking, stainless-steel, AWD motorhome truck has caught our attention recently. Let’s see what kind of features it has.

The truck was built by Freightliner in 2007 and comes powered by a six-cylinder diesel engine rated at 350 hp (260 kW) along with an immense 1,491 Nm (1,100 pound-feet) of torque. It rides on heavy duty, 44-inch wheels that enable it to haul a trailer attachment weighing up to 9,071 kilograms (20,000 pounds). There is even a spare wheel at the back, but it is strapped so high up the tailgate you actually have to use a special winch to pull it down.

Nonetheless, the true highlight of the build is the cabin. The military-spec off-roader houses a kitchenette equipped with a microwave oven and a sink, a bathroom, a dining area, a spacious bed and a wardrobe for all your clothes and other items.

Campers like this one currently retail at U.S. $350,000 new, but this particular truck has ca. 14,450 km (9,000 miles) on its odometer.
