New Acura NSX Type S challenges a modified Audi TT RS

Everyone seems to be discussing the new 2022 Lamborghini Countach and Acura NSX Type S these days, and a recent drag race sheds some light on the acceleration capabilities of the latter.

You may think the Audi TT RS is not a match to the freshly revealed NSX, but consider that it has been tuned comprehensively and now churns out 640 PS (631 hp / 471 kW) operating on race fuel instead of the stock 400 PS (394 hp / 294 kW). The author of the video mistakenly mentions smaller numbers, but we give you the correct ones.

In turn, the NSX packs a 3.5-liter V6 assisted by a trio of electric helpers for 580 PS (572 hp / 427 kW) total.

In the ensuing series of races, the NSX barely manages to win the first one, finishing the quarter-mile strip in 11.5 seconds as opposed to the 11.6 seconds of the TT RS. In the second race, the winner and the loser trade positions. Watch the full video for the rest, it’s going to be exciting!
