SsangYong teases a battery-powered Torres

Korean automaker SsangYong has released the first official photos and a video dedicated to an upcoming all-electric modification of its SUV Torres. The model will be called ‘Torres EVX’ and sport its own, distinct exterior and interior styling.

The design looks recognizable overall, but the front fascia has been seriously revised with a new bumper, faux grille and headlights. Judging by the short vid, the grille supports light animations.

Inside, there is a single display on the dash panel serving simultaneously as the instrument cluster and the infotainment unit. The ICE-powered Torres SUV has two separate screens and a slightly different-looking dash.

All technical specifications remain to be announced. The launch date is two weeks away – March 30, 2023.
