Kuhl Racing completely transforms Toyota GR Supra and Nissan Z

At the recently concluded Tokyo Auto Salon, famous aftermarket shop Kuhl Racing unveiled a new line of body kits called Spec-D for the Nissan Z and the Toyota GR Supra. Note that, despite the same name, they look very different from each other.

Starting with the Nissan, it is the tamer build of the two with new bumpers, hood, front splitter and rear diffuser housing quad tailpipes. A peek inside the arches reveals Verz Krone 04 two-piece forged rims installed in 19-inch diameter. The boldly flared fenders, the wide wheels and the humongous rear wing completely change the way the Z looks, almost making it a pro dragster.

But then there’s the Supra, which is even more over-the-top. The body kit is bulky-looking, edgy and blocky – a real eye-catcher, but arguably for all the wrong reasons. For one thing, we are worried about that twin hump on the hood obstructing visibility for the driver. Kuhl Racing says the design was inspired by the GR Supra that another racing team, OreDa! Racing, drove in the D1GP drift series in Japan. It is unknown if a similar career awaits the car seen here.

The powertrains seem stock, as we haven’t heard anyone mentioning any modifications. The Supra Spec-D kit is already available for ordering in Japan, while the Z kit is largely ready to ship with a few parts still in development.
