Concept Cars
California-based startup company Neuron EV has come to the China Import Expo with two electric car concepts: an MPV called the T/ONE and a big rig called the TORQ.
Both vehicles share futuristic looks and come based on the same modular EV platform. Both place the driver’s seat in the middle of the cabin, reportedly in an effort to cut on production diversification costs for countries with right-hand and left-hand traffic.
Other noteworthy features include large windshields offering a panoramic angle of view, video cameras instead of side mirrors, backup batteries, and solar panels.
The Neuron T/ONE can easily transform into a van and can accommodate between three and eight passengers, depending on the configuration. Power specs are being kept secret at this time, but it is official that the T/ONE has 520 Newton-meters (384 pound-feet) of maximum torque, can haul up to three metric tons of cargo (6,600 lbs) and runs approximately 480 kilometers (300 miles) on a single charge.
The TORQ remains a bit of a dark horse, as the company provides no specifics on the model.
