ABT Sportsline tunes up the new Audi S5 Avant

The latest-and-greatest Audi S5 is only available in hatchback form in the USA, while Europeans enjoy access to the sleek Avant wagon. One can imagine the envy of the Americans upon seeing this upgrade package offered for the car by ABT Sportsline.

The biggest improvement arguably lies under the hood. A software tune was apparently enough to ramp up the output from 367 PS (362 hp / 270 kW) and 550 Nm (406 lb-ft) of torque to 440 PS (434 hp / 324 kW) and 600 Nm (443 lb-ft). That’s basically on par with the older RS5 model. 20-inch five-spoke wheels designed in the house and a 1-inch reduction in ride height result in sharper handling, ABT claims.

Changes to the interior are minimal and mainly boil down to illuminated kick plates and branded floor mats. The exterior, on the other side, looks dapper with a tasteful spoiler and air intake inserts. Rounding off the look are four large-diameter exhaust tips in matte-black.

The full package will set you back a cool €14,600, but most items can be ordered separately.
