BMW i4 gets a new top spec

The new BMW i4 M60 xDrive is coming to replace the outgoing M50 xDrive (see video), bringing along extra power and performance.

While the M50 was already a thoroughly capable electric car with its 544 PS (536 hp / 400 kW) and a 3.9-seconds sprint time, the new M60 tops it with 601 PS (593 hp / 442 kW) and 3.7 seconds. Other than that, though, it is identical to its predecessor.
Preordering is already available in Europe. Prices in Germany start from €72,900.

At the same time, BMW updated its RWD i4 eDrive35 and eDrive40 models with new silicon-carbide power internals. Both EVs now consume 4.5% less electricity on the whole and enjoy 22 km (13.7 miles) of extra range per charge, as per the new range certificate.
