Genesis GV80 scores at the top of IIHS rating

Earning the best possible crash test safety ranking is no easy feat, yet the 2021 Genesis GV80 manages it with flying colors.

The luxury SUV has passes every single test, including those related to pedestrian safety. The company expressed satisfaction with the result, attributing it to the plethora of active and passive safety measures the car comes with. The list includes a new purpose-built car architecture, as many as ten airbags, a smart collision prevention system, and more.

The GV80 will not be the marque’s only off-roader on the list. The Korean automaker announced last September that it would double its lineup, including the EV range, over the course of 2021.
