Another Land Rover Defender goes camping thanks to Osprey

Osprey Custom Cars, or OCC for short, has put up a Land Rover Defender for sale that it restored, modernized and turned into a campervan. The asking price of nearly $100,000 seems justified when you review the changes.

The van seems to be large enough for journeying in and the same time compact enough to be easy to park in an urban area. It comes with suspension improvements, a 12-tonne winch and a bull bar at the front end, and a 300TDI engine linked to a five-speed manual gearbox. The steering wheel has been moved from right to left, and the most notable equipment additions include HVAC and multimedia.

The living space has a fridge, an oven, a central heating system, a heated water tank, a sleeping area, and racks for bikes and surfboards. Lighting all around is LED-based, and numerous storage niches should accommodate anything you might need on a long trip.

The braking system has been improved for adequate deceleration with the added weight, a snorkel pipe added for wading deep water, and a second fuel tank installed for extra autonomy.

Not bad for a $99,950 camper, wouldn’t you say?
