Brabus launches a major tuning package for the Mercedes-AMG E-Class

The latest Brabus offering targets Mercedes-AMG E 53 Hybrid 4MATIC+ owners with a sporty and practical aero kit, some interior upgrades and up to 700 PS (690 hp / 515 kW) of hybrid output.

The package is compatible with both the sedan and the wagon. Both cars originally ship with a 3.0-liter turbocharged six-cylinder engine capable of 449 PS (443 hp / 330 kW). Once tuned up, the engine begins churning out 537 PS (530 hp / 395 kW) on its own, while the hybrid performance rises to the 700 metric hp mentioned above.

As a result, the 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) sprint time drops to 3.6 seconds for both E 53 Hybrid models, while the top speed goes up to 280 km/h (174 mph).

The body kit is fairly extensive with a three-piece front spoiler, air intake shrouds, fender flares, a rear diffuser and a spoiler said to perceptibly increase the downforce at the rear axle. All components are made from carbon fiber with an exposed weave pattern, and you can choose between two finishes – matte and high-gloss.

Rounding off the stylish exterior is a set of 21-inch Platinum Edition Forged wheels. Brabus makes these in the house and suggests complementing them with a lowered stance. The optional springs can drop the ride height by 15–30 mm (0.6–1.2 inches, adjustable at both ends).

As for the interior, it gets 64-color ambient lighting, stainless-steel kick plates, velour mats trimmed with nubuck leather, and either aluminum or carbon-fiber pedal pads. Full interior makeovers with customizable materials and colors are also available upon request.
