A couple of Porsche 911 ST F restomods combine ‘70s vibes with modern tech

SIGNal Design has presented its latest project named the 992 S/T. Working with a pair of Porsche 911 ST F coupes dating back to the 1970s, the company wrapped one in white and the other one in black, ending up with “an Angel and a Devil”.

The company points out that it used top-grade vinyl wrap to ensure high-gloss print quality and scratch resistance. The original engines were swapped for the modern naturally aspirated blocks powering the latest GT3 RS. Both make 525 PS (518 hp / 386 kW) and should provide the kind of acceleration you expect from modern sports cars.

As for the source of inspiration, SIGNal Design reminisces about the 911 ST 2.3 models that ran in the Spanish Rally events half a century ago. Driven by Eladio Doncel and Alberto Ruiz-Giménez, these cars wore the Repsol livery that inspired the car duo seen here.
