Renault goes into detail about the 5 Turbo 3E

Renault will be making a total of 1,980 examples of the all-electric 5 Turbo 3E hatchback. Preorders will open in a few weeks, but you will have to wait until 2027 for the deliveries to start.

The limited-edition EV features a dedicated platform, a carbon-fiber body and a two-seat cabin. It rides on 20-inch wheels as standard and has motorized rear wheels. These wheels hit the ground with a combined 540 PS (533 hp / 397 kW) and develop an impressive 4,800 Nm (3,540 lb-ft) of torque. A 70-kWh battery pack mounted under the floor converts into 400+ km (248+ miles) per charge.

The car makes use of 800-volt power technology and 350kW charging lines, which allows it to top up the battery from 15 to 80 percent in 15 minutes. It needs less than 3.5 seconds to hit 100 km/h (62 mph) from standstill and tops out at 270 km/h (168 mph).
