Dodge hasn’t promised us a convertible Charger Dayton EV yet – for all we know, it may be struggling to find buyers for the coupe version – but Drop Top Customs just produced one of its own.
Like the previous-gen Dodge Challenger cabriolet designed by the aftermarket firm, this one was also sanctioned by the OEM and designed with some assistance from the company. As such, it is scheduled to debut as soon as the electric Charger Daytona starts shipping.
Compared to its fixed-roof counterpart (see video), the convertible looks exactly the same except for a retractable cloth top. It has some rather unsightly creases at the rear end, suggesting that the work hasn’t been finalized yet and the design could use further improvement. Knowing Drop Top Customs, we have no doubt that they will figure it out soon enough.
The cost of the conversion remains to be announced.
