Confirmed: Hyundai working on a BoF pickup

Don Romano, the CEO of Hyundai Australia, has revealed that the company has been working on a mid-size pickup truck featuring a body-on-frame design.

Hyundai’s only pickup truck in the portfolio so far is the Santa Cruz. It’s based on the same unibody platform as the Tucson and lacks a dedicated frame.

The way it looks, Hyundai's new model will most likely be based on the Kia Tasman (in the gallery and the video here). It will likely have the same components and drivetrain, but a different appearance and trim.
