Thai tuner turns a mundane Toyota into a Lamborghini Veneno lookalike

Have you ever heard of Thailand-based custom car shop PS Modify? The guys are famous for converting old sports cars into copies of modern supercars. This Lambo Veneno based on a Toyota MR2 chassis is one of their latest works.

For a mere U.S. $36,000, the Japanese coupe gets an all-new composite body, a thorough interior overhaul with luxury trimming materials, and even an engine upgrade. We wouldn’t expect the replica to launch 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in 2.8 seconds like the Veneno, nor would we expect it to max out at the Italian roadster’s 355 km/h (220 mph), but its one decisive advantage comes in the form of a price tag well under the original’s €3,000,000+. That, and the attention to detail is frankly astounding: check out the retractable hardtop in the video!

PS Modify has other noteworthy projects in its portfolio, specifically a Ferrari lookalike built with a Honda Prelude as the starting point, as well as a Porsche, a McLaren, and some other nice imitations.
