Toyota Land Cruiser 300 bows with all specs and details

The long-awaited next generation of Toyota’s iconic Land Cruiser has finally arrived. Here’s what you need to know about it.

In its ‘300’ iteration, the off-roader uses TNGA underpinnings and no longer packs a 5.7-liter naturally aspirated V8 under the hood. Replacement comes in the form of a 3.5-liter twin-turbo V6 burning petrol for 415 PS (409 hp / 305 kW) and 650 Nm (479 lb-ft) of torque. Despite lacking two cylinders, the mill uses forced induction to generate 30 hp (22 kW) more than its predecessor did.

Some countries will additionally get a 3.3-liter twin-turbo diesel rated slightly above 300 PS (296 hp / 221 kW) and 700 Nm (516 lb-ft) of torque. A ten-speed automatic transmission sends the power to the wheels, taking the bulky SUV to 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 6.7 seconds.

As far as the off-road features are concerned, the model offers adaptive suspension (AVS), improved kinetic stabilization with electronic controls (E-KDSS), and a bottom-mounted camera for monitoring road surface quality in real time.

The interior also gets major updates. A nine-inch infotainment display comes standard, and you can pay more to get a 12.3-inch one. Wireless gadget charging, 360-degree cameras, digital gauges, power tailgate, air ionizer, and a fingerprint-based access system are all available.
