G-Power unveils the G8M Hurricane RR, a 900-PS take on the BMW M8

There are good reasons why BMW M8 coupe, Gran Coupe and convertible are called ‘flagships’ – solid comfort- and performance-related reasons. Despite this, tuners felt they could find a thing or two to improve.

Meet the G-Power G8M Hurricane RR, a customization program compatible with all three body styles that incorporates a new carbon body kit, a flashy paintjob, a bespoke interior and a major power boost. First things first, though.

On the outside, the M8 sports a carbon hood with built-in air vents, a fixed rear wing and 21-inch forged wheels coming in two designs to choose from. The suspension is adjustable thanks to coil-over springs, and the Deeptone exhaust system contains sports-grade air filters, downpipes and other components.

Perhaps most interestingly, the stock 4.-liter twin-turbo V8 enjoys a comprehensive overhaul thanks to which its output now amounts to 900 PS (888 hp / 662 kW) and 1,050 Nm (774 lb-ft) of torque, a massive improvement over the standard 625 PS (616 hp / 460 kW) and 750 Nm (553 lb-ft). With its newfound power, the car can climb as high as 340 km/h (211 mph) in a straight line – and the tuner claims it could do more with adequate tires.

Rounding things off is a custom interior makeover involving generous amounts of leather, artificial suede and carbon fiber.

Prices remain to be announced, but you could expect something well north of the €115,000 G-Power asks for a similar conversion of the BMW M5, donor vehicle not included.
