Car Tuning

Singer-restored Porsche 911 can be yours for $911,911+

We recently learned that Singer Vehicle Design has a three-year-long waiting queue for its restomods – unsurprising, considering how desired and iconic they are. But if you don’t feel like waiting, consider this Singer Carrera 2 being traded on BaT right now with the bidding at $911,911 and three days left on the clock.

The car rolled off the assembly line in 1990 and received a thorough overhaul in 2020, ending up with a largely new body. Both the aero kit and some bodywork was produced anew from carbon fiber, including wheel arches, bumpers, the roof, the hood and the trunk lid. A glossy fresh paint job was applied on top of all that, and Fuchs-style wheels slotted into the arches instead of OEM rims.

Most of the time must have gone into the interior makeover – a gorgeous combination of vintage light brown leather with interwoven leather straps and suede inserts. Carbon-fiber seats were installed alongside a stainless-steel roll cage for safety.

Powering the ride is a bespoke flat-six non-turbo by Ed Pink Racing with 4.0 liters of displacement, 395 PS (390 hp / 291 kW) and 427 Nm (315 lb-ft) of torque at its disposal. A six-speed Getrag M/T sends the momentum to the rear axle as it should.

The restomod owner has put around 3,540 km (2,200 miles) on it since the restoration.
