Toyota Land Cruiser 300 gets its first facelift

The Toyota Land Cruiser 300 has been updated for the first time since its debut in 2021.

The old car is shown in the video here, while the five pics in the gallery is all we have of the new version so far. As you can see, it features a new 12.3-inch digital dash display with multiple UIs to switch between. It’s a premium option, though, while the base trim makes do with a simpler 7-inch screen.

Judging by the images, the climate control system now has its own monochrome display, while the infotainment system screen stays the same. Depending on the trim, it can measure from 8 to 12.3 inches corner-to-corner.

All trims now ship with a feature called My Car Start Lock included by default. It lets owners use their smartphone to prevent their car’s engine from starting. The smart feature actively measures the distance from the car to the key fob/app and auto-lock the engine when the owner is far enough away, preventing theft. In addition to this, the engine start button now scans fingerprints in all versions of the car, not just the top trims.

Toyota also points out an improved emergency brake logic that now detects cyclists faster and more reliably. As for the powertrain, it stays unchanged.

Prices for the 2025 Land Cruiser 300 start from ¥5,252,000 in Japan, but with the backorder queue spanning many months, Toyota admits it will be a while before it can actually start selling the updated SUVs.
