Tesla outsells Audi in EV market
Tesla found buyers for 1,789,226 electric vehicles worldwide in 2024, an impressive figure if still 1.1% less than the year before.
Out of these, the vast majority of the sales – 1,704,093 units, to be exact – were generated by the affordable Model 3 and Model Y. Only 85,133 owners went for a Model S, a Model X or a Cybertruck.
That’s still solid performance for a young automaker with only five mass-market EVs in its portfolio so far. To put things into perspective, Audi only managed to move 1,671,218 EVs last year.
