2022 Chevy Corvette Z06 impresses crowd with its 8,600-RPM engine tune

Just before the launch of the new Chevrolet Corvette Z06, Corvette aficionado and tuner Emelia Hartford posted a couple of videos to Instagram revealing the sports car’s admittedly amazing exhaust soundtrack.

She added that the company put many hours into making the V8 sound unique, testing it in a special echo-free chamber. The engine can rev up to 8,600 RPM and likely stems from a Corvette C8.R racecar, although this remains to be confirmed. The latter packs 5.5 liters of displacement and around 550 PS (542 hp / 404 kW).

The new Z06 will debut tomorrow and ship in coupe and convertible forms.
