Hyundai introduces 2 rickshaw EVs for India and beyond

The Korean automaker plans to get a foothold in all segments of the Indian automobile market, and these two experimental rickshaws running on electricity are meant to help it achieve that.

Created in a collaboration effort with the local manufacturer TVS, both vehicles are envisioned for a variety passenger and cargo uses. The model E3W has three wheels and is being presented as an India-only product. The other model – E4W – has four wheels and may eventually be released in other countries as well, the company says.

There are still no technical specifications. Hyundai mentions a removable roof included as standard and practical, water-resistant trimming materials used all around to keep the interior nice and tidy even during the country’s infamous rainy season.
