Rare Nissan Skyline Impul GT-R goes for a song in the USA

One out of 200 Nissan Skyline Impul GT-R sedans went up on sale in the United States not long ago and was acquired for just $21,000 despite the exclusivity value.

Autech designed the special edition against the manufacturer’s order to mark the 40th anniversary of the Skyline. Each car received a powertrain from the top-spec GT-R R33. The example on sale had chassis number 75 and rolled off the line in 1995. It had been driven in Japan and the UK for a while before being imported into the USA.

With 199,000 kilometers (123,652 miles) on the odo, the Skyline has flaws on its body and a number of aftermarket replacement parts, such as 18-inch BBS wheels, a turbo timer, certain suspension parts, a spoiler, tinted windows, and fake carbon decals. The last owner of the car had its body kit painted and replaced the oil and the spark plugs.

The interior is grey and sports a combination of trim materials, an electric package, an AC, and a replacement multimedia system with a large touchscreen display and Bluetooth support. The odometer is only marked up to 180 km/h (112 mph), as legally dictated by the Japanese legislation at the time of manufacture.

An RB25 turbo drives the rear axle through a five-speed manual transmission.
