Marvel at the Mike Vetter ETV, a car with slime-like charms

There is a highly unique vehicle in the UK that was looking for a new owner not long ago. Called the ETV, its full name is a fitting ‘Extra-Terrestrial Vehicle’.

Hidden beneath a handmade glass-fiber body are Chevrolet Cobalt chassis and cabin. Power is sourced from that car’s stock 2.2-liter Ecotec four-cylinder, which drives the front axle through an automatic transmission. Gullwing doors and a bespoke windshield around five feet wide round off the alien aesthetic.

A few words must be said about Mike Vetter, the creator of the car. Vetter began his career working as a common Burger King employee, designing rather convincing Lamborghini and Ferrari styling kits for cheap cars as a hobby whenever he had free time. The kits were popular, but the big Italian brands found issue with all the blatant copying, so Vetter had to switch his business to all-original body kits instead. He quickly became a millionaire that way.

This example rolled out of the garage in 2014 and reportedly cost around $95,000 to make. Similar blob-shaped cars also came out based on Porsche Boxster, Chevrolet Aveo and other chasses. This one used to be listed for sale on Silodrome with a starting price as low as $10,400, but it seems to have been pulled.
