Zoomo adds EAV-branded cargo e-bikes to its fleet

Delivery company Zoomo has partnered up with EAV, a British manufacturer of four-wheel electric cargo bikes, to effect last-mile deliveries (to the customer’s door).

Zoomo currently operates on the territories of Great Britain, United States, Australia and France. Cargo bicycles haven’t been available to rent via its network so far, but the situation will change in a matter of weeks. The company argues that they are about as versatile as a minivan when it comes to transportation and can carry different types of orders simultaneously – think food and parcels, for example. The rear platform of the bike offers 2 cubic meters (70.6 cubic feet) of cargo space and supports up to 150 kilograms (330 pounds) of weight.

In addition to their other advantages, cargo bicycles with electric motors can be used both on normal roads and dedicated bike lanes in most countries, slashing delivery times.
