Pagani travels to Hong Kong for its 25th birthday

Pagani has posted a video from Hong Kong where the Italian automaker went last November to celebrate turning 25 years old. There’s some interesting footage from the local premiere of the Utopia supercar.

The Utopia is Pagani’s third full-fledged production vehicle after Zonda and Huayra. Contrary to the modern trends, the car still packs a non-electrified V12 pumping out 864 PS (852 hp / 635 kW). It also has manual transmission and an analog interior with just one display.

At the premiere back in November – which also featured the marque’s other iconic creations – CEO Horatio Pagani lashed out at the industry’s excessive infatuation with electric cars. He conceded that a Pagani EV could not be completely ruled out in the future, but emphasized that the technology wasn’t nearly mature enough. Batteries would have to become substantially lighter and charging times much faster in order for rich supercar owners to start truly enjoying their powerful electric rides.
